Helen F. (Harris) VaunHefflyunn, age 68, died on Sunday, Feb.15, 2015 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth following a long illness. She was the wife of Hugh VaunHefflyunn of Kingston, MA. Born in Boston, MA on May 22, 1946, she was a daughter of the late George and Audrey (McGurr) Harris. She was educated at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable where she received her Associate’s degree. She worked as a medical record coder at Jordan Hospital as well as at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Plymouth for most of her life. She moved to Kingston six years ago, previously residing in Plymouth. She enjoyed cooking, especially recipes learned from watching the cooking channel and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Helen was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was the loving mother of Paul Duquette and his wife Dawn of Plymouth, Horst “Joe” Pagel and his wife Patricia of Holbrook, Michael Pagel and his wife Victoria of Wareham, Brian Pagel of Plymouth, Kathleen Battles of Plymouth and Heidi Wing and her husband Michael of Lakeville. She was the beloved sister of George Harris of Spring Hill, FL, and she was predeceased by her sisters Sally Ceurvels and Catherine Roden. She was the cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 2. Visitation will take place on Thursday, Feb.19, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court St.Plymouth. The funeral Service will take place on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral Home. Interment will be private.
