Obituary for Mary Katherine Neprud

Mary Katherine  Neprud
Mary Katherine Perkins Neprud, 84, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2017 after a brief illness. Katherine was a member of the South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham. When she knew her life was coming to an end, she was at peace and was looking forward to meeting Jesus.
Katherine was born in Dallas, Texas, formerly lived in Hingham, and spent the past 15 years of her life in Kingston. Katherine graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence Missouri and went on to attend the High School of Music & Art in New York City. While in New York City, she also studied Life Drawing at The Art Students League of New York City and Applied Aesthetics at the Layton School of Art & Design. Katherine later went on to be an Art Director in the New Products Department at Rust Craft Publishers and an artist and illustrator for Hallmark Cards, American Greetings, and Tyco Toys and other companies. Her best known works included My Little Pony, Care Bears, and Strawberry Shortcake and hang in there Kitty.
Katherine leaves behind her son Kirk and his wife Laura, her son Jon, and her son Kevin and his wife Kristin. Grammy Katherine will be missed by her granddaughter Janine and her grandsons Jared, Calvin, and Kyle.
A service will be Thursday morning at the South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham, with a graveside ceremony immediately following at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
