Obituary for Dawne Marie Reynolds

Reynolds, Dawne Marie , of Canton,MA and Hampton, VA, age 58,  passed away on August 4, 2017 at the home of her brother in Kingston surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born in Dedham she was the daughter of Roger W. and Shirley Hicks Whidden. Dawne graduated from Dedham High School in 1978. She worked for Raytheon, Town of Canton Schools, and American Red Cross and as private day care provider. Dawne loved all animals, gardening and especially found joy at the beach hunting for sea glass. Dawne will be remembered for her caring and loving nature and her ability to comfort others. She and her devoted husband Jim enjoyed over 36 years together and recently renewed their wedding vows in front of family and friends.
Dawne enjoyed spending time with Jim and her children Jenna Harrington and Jodi Conroy, son in laws Brett and Mike and her grandchildren Nolan, Colt, Evelyn and Avery. She is survived by an extended family brothers Wayne, Roger and Brian Whidden, Sisters –in–law Peg Healy, Jen and Mary Whidden, MaryAnn Reynolds and Kathy Krim. She also leaves behind and extended loving family: cousins Bill Galvin and family, Debbie Frasier and family, Nieces: Sara, Jocelyn, Jian, Nina, Robyn, Kelly, Lauren, Jackie and Lizzie, Nephews: Justin, David, Cole, Lee and Reed. She was preceded in death by father Roger, Brother Edgar, sister-in-law Donna and nephew Cory.
A private family ceremony is planned with a celebration of life to follow in the coming weeks.
Dawne fought a long hard battle with cervical cancer and appreciated all efforts made on her behalf. Donations can be made in her name to Pan Mass Challenge, PMC.org for 2017 rider Emily Olmsted or Soul Sister Foundation, PO Box 128, Kingston Ma 02364.
