Condolence: George Blanche's military background was as a Cannon Crewman in the Field Artillery. He started out while a senior in high school in the Massachusetts Army National Guard in Brockton. There were two field artillery batteries there. This was from 1983 - 1986.I know much of this, as I was in his unit in Fire Direction Control and we were always friends from 9th grade. In 1986, he transferred to the regular army and was station at Fort Hood Texas with the 1st Cavalry Division. In 1987, George was sent to Augsburg Germany and was with the 17th Field Artillery Brigade (7th Corps). He ended his military career after he left Germany and outprocessed from Fort Dix, NJ. He was a good soldier and received an honorable discharge.

Condolence: Dear Blanche Family, Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. George was a genuinely good guy with a heart of gold. Although I hadn't seen him in many years, we corresponded on FB and I had come to see what a devoted father he was and also what a wonderful friend he was to have. I was so sorry when he suffered the loss of his daughter and his devastation was palpable. It was truly heartbreaking to see how lost and heartbroken he was. My hope is that he is now with those who passed before him and whom he loved with all of his being. May you all find some peace in your memories of happy times with him and in knowing that he's reunited with his beautiful daughter.

Condolence From: George Hodge and Family
Condolence: From the Hodge Family. George was known to our family, because he was our sister’s brother-in-law. We have a big family, and George has met most family members, through his wedding, our summer parties, or just sitting with him and talking. He will be missed greatly. His name however, will always be in our family, and in our hearts because one of our brother’s name is also George. Rest in peace George, and our condolences to the entire family.

Condolence: Dear George When we heard the news of your death, it took us by surprise. It has now been three days, and it is still so painful. We reminisce about you every day. Your laughter and your tears, your quietness, when things were wrong, will always be remembered. You are now in the arms of God, surrounded by your parents and your recently deceased daughter Tiffany. You have left behind a loving wife, and your four other brothers. Our lives will never be the same without you. Sweet dreams and rest our dear one, you have taught us all about family loyalty, and that is the best gift we can have of you. Losing you will never go away Rest in peace George Loving brother Lavard, and sister in law Artie Blanche

Condolence: Dear Cambie and Paul ~ We are so sorry for your loss. You and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. It’s a shame that it takes a tragedy like this to take notice of how much a person means to you. Everyone enters your life for a reason. I have met some of the most wonderful people who will have a lasting impact on my life. All have contributed to who I am in some way, shape, or form, and for that I am grateful. There are certain people, ones who have a very special place in your heart. The ones you will never forget and can’t thank God enough for. George was one of those people. I wish I would have visited him more and I wish I would have called when I said I would. George, thank you for being the most genuine person I have ever met, for accepting and loving everyone, and for being someone who has positively impacted the lives of so many. You were a great friend and you will be missed.
