Obituary for James Francis Young
Young, James F., 87, of Middleboro, passed away at Tobey Hospital on September 4, 2016. He was born and raised in Bourne, MA, the son of the late Jacob and Ruby (Masso) Young.
James worked for Striderite Shoe, W.T. Grant and retired from Lakeville State Hospital. He joined the US Navy and served during the Korean War.
More than anything, James loved having his family around him.
James was the loving husband, for 44 years to Lillian Young. He’s been missing her since her death on November 3, 2006. He is survived by his son, Daniel J. Lavine and his wife, Mary Ann. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Daniel M. Lavine and his wife, Deborah of Parsonsfield, ME, Vincent M. Francisco and his partner, Neil Potter of West Wareham and Lauren H. Boucher and her husband, Stephen of Middleboro. In addition to his grandchildren, he also leaves behind several great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
