Obituary for Michael J Lopes

Michael J  Lopes
Michael Lopes of East Wareham passed away at Tobey hospital after a brief illness on March 8, 2017. He was the longtime companion of Carolyn Dorne’.

Born in Lynn, MA the son of Samuel and Arlene (Klein) Sirota and the late Robert Mello Lopes.

Michael lived in Onset and Wareham for the last 23 years. He enjoyed music, building, drawing and spending time with family.

Michael had a heart of gold and tried to please everyone the best he could.

Besides his longtime companion and parents he is survived by 6 sons: Michael Lopes of Florida, Danny Lopes, Justin Lopes, Nicholas Lopes, Corey Lopes and Christopher Lopes all of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his three brothers: Marc Lopes of Lynn, David Lopes of Boston, and Anthony Klein of California as well as his sister Lisa Wilder of Wareham. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his son Christopher Dorne’ and his sister Debbie (Lopes) Franklin. As well as his grandparents the late Sydney and Estelle Klein and the late Faustino Lopes Sr. and Mary Lopes.

At his wishes there will be no funeral, burial will be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church On-the-Green, Monroe, CT, with his son Christopher in the spring, there will also be a celebration of life on April 8th at his sister’s home in Wareham.
