The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Russell Dinius can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Russell Dinius

Russell  Dinius
Dinius, Russell J. (72) of Duxbury passed peacefully on July 31, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Donna, to whom he was married for 53 years.  Russ was a craftsman to his core. He was a gifted athlete who excelled in hockey, golf, tennis, and every sport he ever tried. Of all of the things he accomplished in his life, he was most proud of his family. He is survived by seven children, Anne-Marie Dinius, Patricia Purdy, John Dinius, Jesse Dinius, Blake Dinius, Adriana Dinius, and Kaitlin Dinius. He also leaves four grandchildren, John Ryan Dinius, Edward A. Purdy, Elizabeth Purdy, Brady Dinius Adams, one great grandchild, Gianna Purdy, a loving son-in-law Edward Purdy, and future daughters-in-law Laurie Derome, Monica Mora, and Vera Sichko.  
 
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visiting hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 Saturday August 5, 2017.  Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury on Friday, August 11th at 12:00 pm. 
In lieu of flowers, donations in the Name of Russell J. Dinius can be sent to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for terminally ill children at https://www.holeinthewallgang.org/ , and the Kingston Animal Shelter at http://www.kingstonanimalrescue.com/
