My Dear Friend

Helen and I went to grammar school together and she sat in front of me in 6th grade. We used to chat all the time and on rainy days when we had "indoor recess" we would play "hangman" or tic-tac-toe together. We used to get together after school and take long walks and sometimes talk for hours. She was in my class in junior high for a while as well but her family moved and she left Roxbury. I was so sad to see her leave. I met up with her again in high school and we would sometimes sit together at lunch and talks about things teenagers talk about. We had tons of laughs and shared secrets. I was so looking forward to seeing her when I saw her on FB but it didn't work out that we were able to be at the Roxbury Ladies Reunion together. I had so much I wanted to say to her. We'll get the chance I'm sure, Helen, when God sees fit for us to be together again. My sincere condolences to all Helen's family and friends.
